Queens and Nucs
Queens are the heart of the hive. We work hard to develop the best lines to build productive , mite resistant and hygienic stock. All our stock has been produced from Buckfast line acquired from breeders in Ontario, Denmark and England.  We have a ongoing testing program in the province to compare different stocks and lines.

WE ARE NOW TAKING ORDERS FOR QUEENS TO SHIP INTO THE UNITED STATES

We produce strong Queens from our best producing hives.  Queens and Nucs will be available on a first come basis as they are produced. Please contact us to arrange for timing and delivery.

We have worked testing queens with the Ontario Beekeepers Association to develop mite resistant lines.

Queens and Nucs are available for sale in season.

  It takes a steady hand to transfer the tiny hatchlings from the comb to the cups.

We produce new queens in the spring of the year. Our current plans are to have fertile new queens available regularly.

Here we are testing for housekeeping ability with liquid nitrogen test rings.

We have been part of the Ontario Bee Breeders association since it's inception in 1988. We work actively with the University of Guelph and the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

We have developed a mite resistant strain of honeybees.
